Vietnam comes in fourth place in global wood exports

Vietnam is the fourth largest exporter of wood and wooden products in the world, according to reports by the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City. China, Germany and Italy are the first three main exporters.
Despite the predicted $7 billion gain in sales, Vietnam reached $6.9 million in sales from wood and wooden products, with a 10.7% increase compared to 2014, as reported by SGGP.
The wooden products sales summed up $4.3 billion, a year on year increase of 7.8 percent and China, Japan and the US were the main importers of wood and wooden products from Vietnam.
This year, the sales are expected to increase by 8-10%, to $7.2-7.3 billion.
