Since the launch of the FLEGT Indonesia license scheme on November 15, 2016 Indonesia has issued 20,778 licenses for the export of wood products to the EU.     These licenses were for products worth US$730 million and had a shipping weight of 343,000 tonnes.    At a recent meeting, Michael Bucki of the European Commission Delegation in Jakarta, reminded that the EU timber regulation has three principles:     it prohibits placing in EU markets timber products which have not been verified legal   it requires EU merchants ...
